Interpretation note
Interpretation rule. In the bug-only repair, 5,800/6,000 draws favor the opposite ordering, while the repaired 95% equal-tailed interval for D is approximately [−0.001149, +0.043216] and narrowly includes zero. The verifier therefore tests whether the reported ordinal claim is preserved; it does not establish the reverse substantive claim.
What this establishes
  • The archived reliability-correction code contains the identified stale-object defect.
  • Under a bug-only repair, the published ordinal comparison for the conspiracy-beliefs outcome is not preserved.
  • Coefficients recomputed from the independently reconstructed Stage 4G posterior substrate agree with the separately packaged Stage 4H focal coefficient artifact at machine precision.
What this does NOT establish
  • It does not establish the opposite substantive theory as true.
  • It does not invalidate every result or conclusion in the paper.
  • It does not invalidate the original uncorrected multivariate regression.
  • It does not adjudicate the paper's broader construct validity or causal interpretation.
